Guardian Forces - Notes

I will attempt here, to write down what I have so far learned of these beings, and revise these notes as I learn more.

They do not appear to be mere beasts, but highly intelligent beings. The myths and legends I have found so far sometimes point to them as being evil or malevolent, but in my, admittedly limited, experience with them I've never found any malice. In fact, the GF Ark apparently had a battle of wills with one who summoned him to wreak wanton destruction. I'll put more details on this later...

The Guardian forces appear to vary greatly in both power, ability, and appearance. I am theorizing that they actually exist in another dimension, but the gemstones which they leave in this one allow them to create a portal with the help of a Furre from this dimension. Certainly, greater concentration on my part seems to allow Eden to do more. But even she does not tarry long in this dimension.

I am still unclear as to how my now missing student, Lynalei, was able to summon Eden that one time in my office. Since Eden has shown clearly that now, she will respond to no one but myself. I wonder if Lynalei was her first choice and I was merely the means to get to her? Perhaps I am her second choice, since Lynalei has disappeared.

When I concentrate, I can actually communicate with Eden some. Not to speak actual words, but I think she understands me when I speak or think and responds to my emotions. Do all Guardian Forces do this? Or is this particular to Eden? She seems to be, as Pyrus says, the 'chief'.... she would appear to have some sort of authority over the others.

One thing that does seem to carry over to the other Guardian Forces is that they seem to bond with one individual in particular. What they use to determine their choice baffles me. I certainly wouldn't have been my own first choice to be with Eden! Ark has decided upon Pyrus... I have my own theories on the reasons for this, which I will explain later. Diablos is not yet bonded to anyone else since we recovered his Gem from the ruins of Crayle's body. I want to try having others join me in meditation with the stones and see if he reacts to any of them. I haven't yet had the opportunity to do this.

I am researching all the books I can find that have direct or indirect references to the Guardian Forces. As Pyrus suggested, in some places they are referred to as 'the genie people'. I have found other references to various types of supernatural beings also, which I believe are actually talking about Guardian Forces.

I have a feeling.. that seems to be spurred on by Eden, which tells me I need to help her locate the rest of the Guardian Forces and bring them out of hiding again. It's just a feeling that I have, but it's one that I can't ignore.
