I commissioned this portrait from Athene. She's a fabulous artist, and she did an absolutely wonderful job here. On my character in particular. This is the first time I can truly say someone drew Kavaria exactly as I pictured her.

I decided I had so many drawings of Kavaria already though, that this time I wanted something with more than just Kavaria in it. Therefore, I made a gift of it to Pyrus, and let him choose the scene, my only requirement that Kava get to be in the picture somewhere! *chuckles* This scene might need a bit of explaining to those who aren't familiar with Kava and Pyrus' IC history though, so I'll explain it.

Kavaria and Pyrus have been SeeD and friends for quite a while. Both married to other SeeD. Pyrus family (his wife and two kids), disappeared several months ago. It's still unknown what became of them. There are rumors that they died, destroyed by a Guardian Force. The cradle in this image is one of the ones which used to be in use by Pyrus' children, who are now gone. Since Guardian Forces are thought to be involved in some way, Kavaria has been trying to help Pyrus discover what became of his family.
